What we Do

As a knowledge-based, educational and research institution, AIMA is focused on scholarship in the development, publication, and preservation of Islamic Montessori Education (IME) theory and philosophy. Our work is centered on expanding the theoretical basis and philosophical grounding of IME in order to produce content and generate foundational curriculum that institutions can use to develop and prepare IME Educators with authenticity and depth. Our objective is to legitimize IME as an educational theory and methodology for application to the domain of early childhood education.
